nice and spacey accommodation, comfortably located in quiet area – still in short walking distance from cosy promenade and a beach. Slow, holiday atmosphere you will find in Gialova with plenty of taverns serving splendid food, almost at the beach.
Voidokilia beach and waterfalls in hinterland is a must to be there.
Arjan was extremely helpful – thank you.

You can reach Giàlova and the Bay of Navarino in several ways:

>> by plane into Kalamata:
The nearest airfield to the vacation rentals in the bay area of Navarino is the international airport of Kalamata. It’s a 45 minute drive from and to the airport.
Airlines that fly on Kalamata (KLX) are
Aegean Airlines, Transavia, EasyJet, Lufthansa, Smartwings

you can fly to Kalamata and take a taxi to come to gialova gardens

>> by plane from Athens:
Since a couple of years it’s very easy to reach the South West of the Peloponesse by car from Athens (Airport).
Due to investments of the European Union a new highway was build, which provides the possibility to drive in three hours from the airport to Navarino Bay with its surrounding Giàlova and Pylos in which a diversity of vacation rentals can be found.
Along the way you have to pay toll. The total amount for a single way is € 12,- Make sure you bring coins along, because this amount is divided over about 7 toll gates.
As Athens is a major touristic destination many airlines have it in their offer and you can find flight tickets for really good prices.
On-line you find many rental car companies which rent from and to the airport. For the moment Sixt Rental Car at Athens Airport for the best price. Check out their website.

cheap flight to Athens and than a three hour drive

>> by boat via Patras:

If you like to bring your own car, motor bike or scooter you also can come by ferrie. Out of Triëst, Ravenna or Ancona (IT) with Minoan Lines. Out of Venice, Bari or Ancona with superfast Ferries or out of these same cities with ANEK Lines

come with the boat and drive southwards

>> by car through Eastern Europe:

If you come from the North by car you can drive through Albania, Macedonia or Bulgaria. To end up in the south west corner of the Peloponnese you can drive over the Rio Antiri Bridge at Patras. The bridge that connects the Peloponnese with the main land of Greece and where the Gulf of Patras becomes the Golf of Corinth.

If you come out of the direction of Athens, you can make a stop at the canal of Corinth. This man made canal is for sure of photo stop worthy. Please note, that if you like to see this channel you have to leave the toll high way and take the old road. If you come from Athens it’s the exit 9 in the direction of Loutraki.

Drop me a mail and I will take care that the reservation is made.
