What is where in the Navarino Bay?
By the numbers on the chart I’ll guide you around and ‘tell’ you what I know. For sure this will be updated once in a while, because the Navarino Bay area is in a huge development.

- A One of the most famous beaches of the world. Voidokilia Beach.
- B Giàlova Lagoon, or nature reserve Divari
- C Paliokastro, the ruins of the old castle
- D Golden Beach, or is it Divari beach? At least the water is crystal clear and till waist hight
- E Agios Nicolaos and the Russian wooden church to commemorate the fallen Russian sailor from the battle of Navarino
- F the island of Sphakteria
- G monument for the fallen sailors
- H the Stone Arch
- I the island of Helonaki at the entrance of Navarino Bay with the monument for the British sailors
- J beach and beach bar, with pretty loud, modern dance music in July and August
- K the little island ‘Tsichli-Baba’ in the middle of the Bay is a symbol for the French deceased sailors
- L beach in front of Hotel Zoe and if you continue you visit the boulevard of Giàlova
- M camping site Navarino
- N the waterfall of Kalamari
- O the Bay Course of the Costa Navarino Golf Courses
- P the harbour of Pylos, where Frodo is moored
- Q the peer of Pylos were once in a while a cruise ship is moored and were you can rent a motor boat to cruise the bay
- R the fortress of Pylos (Navarino)
- S Pylos town, with its lovely square with the ‘Tris Navárchi’ monument
- T the main road to Kalamata, to the airport and to other villages in South West Peloponesse
