the Kolperstraat in Den Bosch brings you to the fountain square

“the name of the fountain square is originated from house names. “

Keep on going towards the fountain at the end of the street.

This square does not owe its name to the current fountain present, but originated from house names. For example, there was ‘De Kleine Gulden Fontein, the DrieFonteinen and also the Grote Fontein. Some houses were later joined together. And the fountain was also replaced over the years.

This form of fountain has only been here since the 9th of June 2000. It was designed by Joris Luchinger and also displays a beautiful anonymous -medieval-poem.

The square is part of three streets that were all called Kolperstraat in the past.  It’s actually a five-way crossroads.

Turn to the left at the fountain into the Krullartstraat.
